Why 2.0? Well, after 10 years it is time for a change. A change in location, a change in format and a change in the design. So, we're bringing in a top-notch speaker, holding it in a top-notch location, providing all of the networking and business opportunity you could ask for with some of the best professionals in the community that specialize in working with people dealing with divorce. While this particular meeting may not have all of the following, we expect to provide continuing education, networking, study groups, break-out sessions, case consultations and more......

This event is completely free to all FIRST TIME attendees. It is an opportunity to find out what the Divorce Transition Professionals is all about, what it is about to become and how becoming a member will benefit you. So, if you are a professional in the divorce field i.e. Attorney, Accountant, Financial Professionals, CDFA, Mediator, Therapist, Realtor, Mortgage Broker etc.....please attend and check us out. This Month's Sponsor

Kevin Walton
Reverse Mortgage Specialist

Hello DTP professionals!
I am a 30+ years mortgage veteran and am now putting my energies into the reverse mortgage space.
Educating Realtors, Financial Planners, Accountants, Divorce Lawyers, Insurance Professionals, the general public and other professionals in the Long Term Health field about reverse mortgages, how they are used, and how they are not a one sized fits all is a passion of mine.
I discovered reverse mortgages by accident when searching for a home loan for my parents 10 years ago.
The home next door was up for sale, they had a large down payment but couldn't qualify for a conventional home loan to cover the balance and it was than I discovered the H4P, HECM for Purchase reverse mortgage.
My parents didn't move quick enough, and the home sold to another family, but armed with this knowledge I changed my career trajectory to help other senior citizens and professionals who do not know this loan exists.
It is also now a silver divorce tool as well.  Retired borrowers typically can not qualify for a cash out buyout loan to payoff the other spouse, but the reverse can make that happen.  Not only that the departing spouse can use that cash out and use the R4P to buy a new home and than both spouses do not have a monthly payment, a win-win for all.

I am married with two daughters, one is attending UCSD, the other is a freshman at Thousand Oaks High School.
My hobbies are coaching youth sports, playing hard ball, and cheering on the Dodgers and Lakers.

DTP Non-Profit of Choice

ABOUT CENTER4SPECIALNEEDS

Center4SpecialNeeds is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation founded in 2011 that provides resources, education, and programs for families and individuals affected by developmental disabilities in Ventura County, California.  Center4SpecialNeeds' vision is to have families benefit from the information we provide, to help children progress, to help parents restore some balance in their lives and not feel they are in constant crisis mode. We want parents, who are feeling isolated and alone, to feel embraced and supported. We want to provide opportunities for individuals with special needs as they develop into thriving members of our community.

Be Part of the Change!

Center4SpecialNeeds is a non-profit organization and depends on your generous support!

Our monthly goal is for 300 individuals to make a monthly pledge of $20 for one year, which would provide the funding we need to sustain our programs, and expand to reach more individuals and families. For $20 per month, less than the price of one dinner for two at a casual restaurant, you have the opportunity to improve the quality of life for someone with special needs!

  • C4SN has undergone a dramatic expansion in our programs for children, teens, young adults, and families affected by developmental disabilities.
  • We now employ 6 part-time paid staff and numerous volunteers with special needs!
  • Without the safe and compassionate space of our office, many of these young adults would be isolated from the community and spending much of their time at home.

We need your support! You can join Center4SpecialNeeds in making an impact for individuals & their families by making a financial contribution, volunteering, or offering a donation of services or items. Click here to be part of the change and help us reach our goal!
