About Divorce Transition Professionals (DTP)
Why 2.0? Well, after 10 years it is time for a change. A change in location, a change in format and a change in the design. So, we're bringing in a top-notch speaker, holding it in a top-notch location, providing all of the networking and business opportunity you could ask for with some of the best professionals in the community that specialize in working with people dealing with divorce. While this particular meeting may not have all of the following, we expect to provide continuing education, networking, study groups, break-out sessions, case consultations and more......

This event is completely free to all FIRST TIME attendees. It is an opportunity to find out what the Divorce Transition Professionals is all about, what it is about to become and how becoming a member will benefit you. So, if you are a professional in the divorce field i.e. Attorney, Accountant, Financial Professionals, CDFA, Mediator, Therapist, Realtor, Mortgage Broker etc.....please attend and check us out. There is nothing like us in the area currently.

When people ask me the reason I do the work I do, they are often shocked to hear me say "my ex-husband." Typically, you don't anticipate a divorce to be the motivation for the work you do; however, having been through a difficult divorce that left me with only dollars to my name, it opens your eyes to the help you truly can give people.

Life changes and events can cause a lot of turmoil in your life, both personally and financially. Knowing that I have been through this myself and come out on the other side gives me perspective to help other people who don't know where to turn or what steps to take next.

I believe everyone deserves personalized guidance and advice, no matter what their financial situation is, and I pride myself on working with many different individuals in very different circumstances. Nothing gives me more joy than seeing people I work with achieve their financial goals and dreams and knowing I was a part of it.

Originally from Mt. Shasta, CA, I moved to the Bay Area in 2011. I attended California State University Sacramento and graduated in 2007 with two bachelor's degrees in business marketing and sociology. I earned my MBA in finance from Walden University in 2009.

After starting my career with Edward Jones in 2008, I became a limited partner in 2014 and qualified for the Edward Jones Managing Partner's Conference in 2016, an honor reserved for the top client service branches in the firm. For three consecutive years (2018-2020), I received the Edward Jones Eagle Award, an award reserved for financial advisors with "clear vision of both client and business goals" over the past year.

When I'm not spending my time with clients, you will find me with a good book, hiking multiple Bay Area trails or cheering on my Oakland A's!
